A Tuft of Hair

Dutch designer Anique Noordman has made a collection of carpets inspired by hair, entitled A Tuft of Hair. She adds “One long braid reveals hundred knots, a braided finished edge, twisted knots pattern design. Dip dying of piles, waxing and modeling. Waffled crimped wig, thick locks, irregular dreadlocks.”

Snowroll

‎’Snowroll’ is the latest project by Japanese designer Hiroaki Matusyama. The object is a long roll of white carpet which can be rolled and unrolled according to space and the end rolls can be used at seats or backrests.

Top Floor wins Interior Design Award

London-based rug company Top Floor won Best of Year in the rug category of the Interior Design Awards for Esti Barnes’ Emmenthal carpet design, which was launched in Autumn 2010. Top Floor had won the award previously in 2007 for the company’s Esquire rug.
