The Loop Chaise Lounge by Dutch designer Sophie de Vocht for Italian furniture company Casamania was inspired by her fascination with the technique of ‘tufting’ normally used in carpet making. The Loop chair features a metal structure through which enormous yarn is woven, starting with a tight weave at the main base and seat and getting gradually looser and looser. The chair was on show during Milan Design Week 2011.
