David Bowie is…many different things to different people. Whether you appreciate the work of the chameleonic artist and his multiple personas or not, the first international retrospective of David Bowie’s oeuvre currently at London’s V&A Museum, entitled ‘David Bowie is’ pays homage to a pioneering and influential performer whose music, costumes and lifestyle sustained reinvention across five decades. The show includes more than 300 objects including the infamous Ziggy Stardust bodysuits (1972) designed by Freddie Burretti and countless outfits that turned Bowie into the cultural icon he is seen as today.
