Luxury Brands 2018 – Introducing: cc-tapis, Lila Valadan, H.O.C and Creative Matters

The second edition of COVER and Domotex asia/CHINAFLOOR’s curated Luxury Brands exhibition is taking place at DACF in Shanghai on 20-22 March 2018.
Each week leading up to the show we will focus on four of the 16 high-end exhibiting companies. This week we look at four other brands that will be coming to Shanghai in March.

cc tapis

Effortlessly stylish Milan- based brand cc-tapis was originally founded by Nelcya and Fabrizio Cantoni in France 18 years ago. The company relocated to Milan in 2011, taking on an expert design team—directed by the dynamic Daniele Lora— that approaches traditional techniques in highly innovative ways. Working with a selection of the world’s most in-demand designers and producing some of the most exciting rug designs out there today, the brand has become the talk of the design world.

The winner of two Carpet Design Awards at Domotex Hannover 2018, the Hamburg-based Lila Valadan brand makes Persian rugs with style, paying homage to Iranian traditions while creating chic minimalist designs. Lila Valadan launched her eponymous brand in 2017 having run her late husband’s Persian carpet business, Naziri, since 2012. With 35 years’ experience handling the best tribal weavings, the designer’s unique new pieces demonstrate the versatility of Persian carpets and their compatibility with contemporary interiors.

Belgian HOC was set up in 1925 by the grandfather of the current owner Peter Hens, specialising in antique Persian carpets. Peter took over in 1996, and in 2001 started his own contemporary rug production in Nepal. Armed with three generations of expertise he remains closely involved with making his carpets ever since. Designs are produced in-house, with an emphasis on tone-to- tone compositions and creating patterns from scratch. HOC works with interior designers, architects and retailers on a variety of custom projects. The company’s individual fresh, the bright aesthetic has won it much attention in recent years.
