Nazmiyal collection on sale at Bonhams

lot 1077

Moroccan rug, lot 1077

One of the mainstays of the antique decorative carpet market in the USA is Jason Nazmiyal. The Nazmiyal Collection  is one of the few showrooms in New York’s  traditional rug district around East 32nd Street that still focuses exclusively on antique weavings. While many businesses in the neighbourhood have become involved in new production, Nazmiyal has remained true to the antique rugs for which he maintains the same passion as when he first set up in business back in 1980.
