One of the many highlights of Decorex was the hand printed fabrics seen on the stand of Rapture & Wright. The company was founded in 2004 by Peter Thwaites and Rebecca Aird, who planned to make hand printed fabrics and wallpapers utilising British expertise. Six years on the company still handprint all the fabrics in a barn in Gloucestershire, while the wallpaper is printed in a different location in the UK, thereby maintaining the original principles of the project: to remain 100% British. The designs are colourful and have a handmade yet sophisticated feel, inspired by Peter and Rebecca’s love of surfing and coastlines from across the world.
