S.Wert Design are a German design company based in Berlin and headed by creative team Sandra Siewert and Dirk Berger. The duo’s Urban designs draw on elements of city architecture which, when detached from their urban surroundings, create a new aesthetic, somewhere between abstraction and reality. One of the company’s latest designs is a knitted wool plaid rug entitled Sonntag 20:15, meaning ‘Sunday 20:15’, in reference to ‘Crime Time’ in Germany – the time of the week when the the most popular TV crime series are played. The black and white design is influenced by this genre of TV programme, and makes for the perfect TV watching accessory.
