Married couple Shao Yinong and Muchen are Chinese artist who produce work that reflects contemporary life and the cultural revolution in China. The couple’s latest project Spring and Autumn focuses on the pursuit of wealth with a series of twelve embroidered tapestries featuring obsolete banknotes from different countries and time periods. The work debuted at the Singapore Art Biennale 2011 which ends on 15 May. Notes included are:
