One more of the companies that will feature in COVER’s exciting FORZA TAPPETI: THE RUG REVOLUTION show in April in Milan is Chevalier édition.

Launched in 2008 by Camille Chevalier, the Paris-based carpet Chevalier édition has achieved several remarkable collections of rugs – many of which are limited editions – with some of the world’s most sought-after figures in design and the arts. Patricia Urquiola, Daniel Buren, Martin Margiela and Jurgen Bey are just some of the names who have chosen to work with this dynamic company. Chevalier’s latest collection of rugs includes the very flexible Tresse, designed by French furniture designer Samuel Accoceberry.

The versatile Tresse rug, which will be showing at ‘Forza Tappeti: The Rug Revolution’ in Milan can be produced in numerous shapes, sizes and colours and can be used as interconnected multiples, to suit any interior space.

Tresse creator Samuel Accoceberry graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Nancy and the School of Industrial Design Raymond Loewy. With his experience as a designer and design manager for various well-known studios in Milan and Paris, Accoceberry founded his own studio in Paris in 2006. Thanks to VIA (Valorisation of Innovation in Furnishing), he developed two notable projects that have earned him international awards. His work seeks to assert an intrinsic simplicity, in respect of know-how and materials.
