The skill of crazy French couturier Jean Paul Gaultier is currently being shown off at the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design in  Stockholm. The fashion installation ‘The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk’ started at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in 2011 and moves onto the Brooklyn Museum in New York later this year and in April 2014 will show at the Barbican Centre in London. Featuring 120 ensembles and further documents, the show spans the entire oeuvre of the enfant terrible of fashion, who launched his first prêt-à-porter collection in 1976 and founded his own couture house in 1997. For the Stockholm event Swedish carpet company Kasthall welcomed the fashion icon with a specially woven 18 metre long rug model Häggå, designed for the occasion in his signature pattern blue and white stripes.
