
The Luxury Brands opening ceremony
In March 2017 COVER magazine collaborated with Asia’s largest flooring event Domotex Asia/CHINAFLOOR (21-23 March) to create Luxury Brands, an exclusive exhibition of top international rug brands within Domotex Asia. At COVER we understand that many companies are keen to start doing business within new markets such as Asia but are unsure of how to make the first move into the area. The concept behind Luxury Brands was to present a selection of well-respected brands at the Shanghai event and offer them access to the burgeoning Chinese market.
The chosen brands were Amadi Carpets, Ariana Rugs, Art Resources, Ayka Design, Creative Matters, Hossein Rezvani, Knots Rugs, New Moon, Rug Star, Samad, Tissage, Wool & Silk, Zollanvari.

Opening on Tuesday 21 March with a special ceremony presented by Editor of COVER Lucy Upward and President of VNU Exhibitions Asia David Zhong, the show was reserved for VIPs and attracted a range of interior designers, rug retailers and individuals working in the design world in Asia. The three-day event saw companies making good connections with Asian contacts—sales were made and commissions taken. Due to these factors and the general good feeling from exhibitors and visitors about the way the Luxury Brands exhibition was present and run by alike, the show was a resounding success.
COVER and Domotex Asia/CHINAFLOOR will shortly be in talks about the possibilities for the event in 2018. Watch this space!
