As part of Chelsea Design Quarter Autumn Design Trail on 1-12 November, a special display of artwork and rugs by artist and textile designer Kate Blee is currently on show at the Christopher Farr showroom at 585 King’s Road. The installation includes drawings of her rug designs and Blee’s hand-knotted Amandaala runner on the loom.

Blee has had many of her designs translated into rugs, tapestries, print and wallpaper. As a long-term collaborator with rug brand Christopher Farr, she has 31 designs under the Farr label. Her work can be found in the public collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Crafts Council and the Contemporary Arts Society.

In addition to the display, Kate Blee will be in conversation with Matthew Bourne on Tuesday 9 November at 17.30-19.30 at the Christopher Farr King’s Road showroom. She will share insights into her artistic practice and her approach to designing rugs.
