Rug events for early 2022

January 05, 2022

To keep abreast of events this year, see our guide to which rug and design shows are happening, which are postponed and which are cancelled in early 2022

In terms of the annual design events calendar it looks like 2022 might be more of the same, after two years of cancellations and postponements. It is not easy keeping ahead of what events are still happening with Covid-19 figures still rising in Europe and the US, so here is our guide to what to look out for over the next few months.

Atlanta Market (11-18 January)

More than 8,000 brands exhibit at the Gift, Décor and Lifestyle Market. Loloi (pictured below) have relocated to a new showroom to increase visibility while offering a better flow and overall experience for visitors. Principal Cyrus Loloi said, ‘Each space offers a simplified and relaxed atmosphere to browse and shop our rugs, pillows and wall art, including collections from all of our major brand partners.’

Normally held in January the event has been postponed until later in 2022. Future dates to be confirmed.

Las Vegas Market (23-27 January)

For many in the US, Las Vegas Market will be the first live show of 2022, setting up businesses and buyers for the year ahead. The big US brands such as Safavieh and Nourison will be in attendance, offering the full range of qualities and constructions. The collaborative Polly Collection from the Chris Loves Julia x Loloi line will take centre stage at Loloi, while Harounian Rugs International’s performance lines will be of interest to many. Other noteworthy exhibitors include Kalaty, Kaleen and KAS. The Las Vegas Market 2022 Design Icon has been announced as Kathryn M. Ireland, interior and textile designer, who with her eye for pattern and texture will be an exciting addition. International buyers that fancy a trip to see the best of West Coast style can take advantage of a number of incentives.
