Sima Pashtun is an amazing new rug by Mexican designers Mauricio and Sebastián Lara and made by the Odabashian Rug Company. Inspired by traditional carpet design this rug has one major twist in that the central field pattern has been manipulated to make the carpet look 3 dimensional, as though the rug sinks far below the floor surface, making someone standing on it look like they are floating mid-air! In April 2011 the rug is on show at the Franz Mayer Museum in Mexico.
