The designs of Sophie Duran‘s new collection of seven textile prints Undiscovered Wonders of the World are created from Duran’s photographs, old travel books and minerals, to give strange worlds that are open to interpretation. The images are digitally printed onto fabrics such as silk velvet and crepe de chine to give greater strength to the vibrant colours. Duran adds: “Inspired by Celtic, Norwegian, Indian and Greek ancient stories, every landscape has a name that gives slightly a clue of where you could explore it.” Here the designs are presented as scarves.
