Design your own rug

April 09, 2019

The Broadway Gallery invites you to draw inspiration from Allistair Covell’s abstract and colourful paintings and hand-knotted carpet designs to create your very own ‘canvas to carpet’.

The Broadway Gallery has launched its very own ‘Design Your Own Rug’ competition, in celebration of British artist—and Domotex CDA 2014 winner—Allistair Covell’s first ever solo exhibition currently held at the Broadway Gallery, Letchworth Garden City, UK. The closing date of the competition is 5 May 2019, which is when the exhibition ends.

Great public interested in the exhibition, and in the process of carpet making (displayed through two films of weavers in Nepal and Afghanistan), has encouraged the Broadway Gallery to partner with Digswell Arts Trust and Rug Maker, and invite you to draw inspiration from Allistair’s abstract and colourful paintings and hand-knotted carpet designs, to create your very own ‘canvas to carpet’.
