Future Craft at Heal’s

July 29, 2014

Heal’s, London launches Future Craft- a new collection of furniture and textiles that retain traditional values of craftsmanship and quality while embracing the latest technologies and design innovations.

Heal’s, London has a long history of designer collaborations and they continue to support contemporary craft practitioners with their most recent new collection- Future Craft. The range includes furniture and textiles that retain traditional values of craftsmanship and quality while embracing the latest technologies and design innovations.

Coral and aqua tones reminiscent of faded seaside paintwork feature in flatweave rugs from Linie Design and screen printed linen cushions by West Yorkshire based, Laura Slater. Elephants, parrots and ibis adorn a set of three Moleskin cushions by Jill, created exclusively for Heal’s from her Brick Lane studio.

Kirsty Whyte, Product and Design Manager at Heal’s comments, “Future craft is certainly something that is emerging within furniture, and also in society; people are interested in the way that a product is made and actually crafted, and we are using those techniques in contemporary designs.”
