Gatsby-Esque Fair Trade Rug Collection To Launch in New York

Co-founders Donna Hastings and Carol Sebert of Creative Matters will unveil the boutique firm’s 25th Collection this autumn at the New York International Carpet Show, 6-8October 2013, at the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street.

Author F. Scott Fitzgerald visited Long Island, New York in 1923, when he began planning his famous novel, “The Great Gatsby”, desiring to produce, “something new — something extraordinary and beautiful and simple and intricately patterned.” Carol Sebert, co-founder of Creative Matters, reviewed the 25th Anniversary line of luxurious rug designs remarked, “I think what our designers have captured in this exquisite collection is so Gatsby-esque. The silver and golden hues and simple yet intricate patterning is a perfect reflection of how delighted we feel as a team to be celebrating 25 years of creating luxurious fair trade floorcoverings for interior designers, architects and their clients.”
