Made, Unmade – Julie Brook at Dovecot

An exhibition of land artist Julie Brook‘s work is opening this weekend at Edinburgh’s Dovecot Studios, 27 April–1 June. Brook lives and works in remote landscapes, creating sculptures, paintings, drawings and film. Made, unmade is her first solo exhibition since returning from the semi-desert of North West Namibia.

Alongside sculpture and film, her newest work – a rug produced by Dovecot weaver, Jonathan Cleaver – will be revealed.

Brook immersed herself in the African desert for works including 2 Rising Lines in Garah Mandil, Al Haruj, Libya, which inspired the new works.
