COVER has noted a recent flurry of beautiful and inspiring textile books relating to artists, designers and design as well as fabrics and carpets. Here are nine publications that featured in COVER magazine in 2016

COVER has noted a recent flurry of beautiful and inspiring textile books relating to artists, designers and design as well as fabrics and carpets. There are so many in fact, that starting from COVER 45, we now dedicate a news page to the latest great titles out there as well as include more in-depth features on some of our favourites.

Here are nine publications that have featured in COVER magazine over the past 12 months.

Patterns: Inside the Design Library
Unlike other books of textile designs, this one doesn’t pick a particular era or design source to focus on, but sets out to give an idea of the vast range of designs from the distant and near past that is available for designers to plunder. Neisha Crosland: Life of a Pattern
This visual work follows Neisha Crosland from her student days at Camberwell School of Arts to life as a celebrated textile designer, telling the story behind some of her most loved designs.
