Where else in the world can you see so many contemporary handmade rugs under the same roof? The Rug Show New York, 10-13 September 2017, at the Javits Center has gone from strength to strength, and now collects 84 brands, providing ample hunting ground for the host of buyers expected to descend on the show.

Creative modern designs come from the likes of Wool & Silk, Alan Pourvakil, Art Resources and newcomer HOC, while giants Tufenkian and Tamarian make beautiful rugs in soft greys, blues and beige tones that are perfect for US interiors. This year we are seeing a trend of textile-inspired designs, in evidence at Samad, while patchwork can be found at the stands of Creative Touch and Pampas Leather. Proving that traditional and transitional looks never go out of style are Slocum Rug Gallery, Anadol and Looms of Persia among many others. As usual, it is also worth looking out for French Accents and F.J. Kashanian.

Creative Matters will host the intriguing Art Day event in collaboration with COVER and we hope you can join us for the drinks reception in the COVER Lounge on the afternoon of Tuesday 12 September, but the true attraction at this show is the multitude of rugs.
